In 2013, the Government of Ghana (GoG), commissioned the design and construction of residential and other infrastructural facilities at Saglemi, near Tsopoli in the Ningo Prampram District of Greater Accra Region of Ghana. The now completed first phase of the Saglemi Housing Project (SHP) consists of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments (flats), 2 and 3 bedroom detached one storey houses, and 3 bedroom semi-detached 2 storey houses.
The housing-mix is intended to accommodate a cross-section of the Ghanaian populace and be a cohesive, mixed-use, vibrant environment that embodies live-work-play solutions. All Ghanaians in the public or private sector, domestic or diaspora, cash or mortgage buyers, now have the opportunity to acquire these houses and apartments.
Saglemi is not only meant to be residential: land allotments have been set aside for commercial, manufacturing, healthcare and educational facilities to be constructed within the development.
